Chiropractors are branded vertebral authorities. Their focus is on the human spine. Body pains and other diseases are the causes of distractions on the spinal column. Removing these blockages is the aim of chiropractic medicine.

In 2009, fourteen thousand respondents suffering from Lower Back Pain participated in a survey organized by the Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center. Out of the 14,000 patients, 88% claimed that the pain recurred within a year. On the other hand, 50% claimed that they were not able to do their usual activities for a week because of the back pain. It was found out those who were treated by a chiropractor had experienced a big improvement compared to those treated by a physical therapist or acupuncturist.

In order for our body to move, it needs a mixture of movability and steadiness. Steadiness refers to being stable in position or equilibrium. Alternatively, movability pertains to the ability to move from one place to another. Movability must come first before steadiness. These two works together in holding back the pains on our backs and likewise has the task to reduce the recurrence of back pain.

Just imagine yourself when you walk. We need to move our feet, ankle and hips and the lower part of our spinal column will follow. This is where steadiness on the lower back part is needed. You cannot start moving your lower back and let the rest to follow, right? Chiropractic care helps us recover our joint mobility through spinal manipulation.

Once the steadiness was re-established, the patient can now do his usual activities. Exercises designed by the chiropractor come next after chiropractic adjustment. The exercise program designed by the chiropractor is specific to each patient's case. You may even be surprised to know that the exercises you have known are incorporated. These include bending exercises for the hips and ankles, balance exercises for the hips and a more thorough exercise for the lower back. A monocycle ride is advised to some patients in order for their backs to be regenerated. Although it may appear unsafe, they were helped by this activity.

This is the work of the chiropractor - to re-instate the steadiness of a patient. Without steadiness, the lower back pain will keep on coming back.

So do not ignore those lower back pains. The more you delay being treated, the more health issues will arise. Let a chiropractor treat your lower back pain.
